Michael Clegg

Michael became the Managing Partner of Q Works in 2018.  He began his career in the staffing industry in the late 90’s starting out as a Recruiter then moving into Sales and Sales Leadership. Over the past decade, Michael has worked in the industry as a Regional Executive successfully building teams and managing dozens of associates throughout the United States. Specializing in contract staffing, Michael is able to leverage his experience to offer clients a personal, customized partnership. He and his staff have successfully filled hundreds of mid-level to senior management positions in sales, marketing, engineering, operations, technology, healthcare and finance. He also coaches professionals on Sales and Professional Development.

Melissa Coleman

– Account Director –


Melissa joined Q Works in 2006 bringing over 15 years of successful Sales Management experience. Now 10 years later, she has become one of Q Works most decorated, successful recruiters.

Her experience gives her a strong understanding of our clients’ hiring needs. She provides quality professional placement services by striving to exceed both clients’ and candidates’ expectations. She has a unique capacity to carefully review the skills, chemistry and motivation from both the candidate and client side.

Melissa has established herself as a recruiter within the lighting industry focusing on mid-level to executive level positions nationwide. Her recruiting focus is on Sales, Engineering, Operations, Marketing and Product Management positions.

Bertina Brase

– Account Executive –


After earning a Master’s degree in Germany, Bertina worked in Corporate Human Resources with both German and US companies.

With 20+ years in the U.S. and having lived in various regions of the country, Bertina understands the nuances of cultural diversity. She leverages these skills when working with European subsidiaries in the U.S. Her strong organizational and analytical skills allow Bertina to identify top recruits for middle and upper management positions. Bertina has been on the agency and the client side, as an Executive Recruiter and HR Manager. This has allowed her to think with a 360 perspective. Angela Jordahl

– Senior Project Coordinator –


Angela came to Q Works in 2010 as a Project Coordinator. She was promoted to Senior Project Coordinator in 2012. Angela started her working career with First Union National Bank in the consumer loan department. She held many support and management positions at First Union/Wachovia including roles in insurance, consumer loans, student loans, commercial customer service, business relations, cash management, and human resources. She was an AVP in client services at the end of her 18 year banking career. For several years before joining Q Works, Angela worked as a HR/Operations manager in the in-home healthcare industry.

At Q Works, Angela has a strong compassion for finding the perfect match for her clients. She supports the Accountant Executives (Recruiters) by sourcing the most qualified candidates in the engineering, manufacturing, food services, sales, marketing, and operations industries. She holds a BS degree in Business from Clemson University, as well as a Funeral Director’s degree Fayetteville Tech.

Katie Trippe

Katie joined Q Works in 2014 as an Account Executive to support our clients in the plastics and chemical manufacturing industries. Her tenacity in pursuit of highly desirable professionals provides a competitive edge to clients seeking top talent. Also, her tenure as a VP and Operations Manager gives her key insight into the manufacturing industry specifically in the areas of lean initiatives and process improvement. Because of her passion for recruiting and the manufacturing industry, Katie stays on top of industry trends.

Silvia Gray

– Account Executive –

Silvia joined Q Works in August 2016 as an Account Executive. She has always worked in an international environment, spending the past 13+ years in automotive project management and human resources. Fast paced demands have prepared her for understanding the urgency as well as expectations of the automotive industry. Her vast network within the automotive world offers a competitive edge. Recruitment has become a passion for her.

As a native German living in the US for over 20 years, Silvia can relate to the cultural differences that the automotive industry often brings. In her recent position as Human Resources Manager, she was responsible for recruitment of unique skills on many different levels. She is well versed with immigration laws and can offer insight and support when a visa is required.

Angie Barnes

Angie joined The Q Works Group as the Marketing Specialist in October 2015. She brings with her a wide range of marketing skills with a special focus on business development strategy, content marketing and communications. In addition, she has extensive experience understanding user experience and applying it to overall marketing plans and advertising initiatives.

In 2018, Angie transitioned from marketing into a full-time recruiting role, specializing in the Glass and Ceramics industries. Iris Winkelbauer-Hoelzl

Iris joined the Q Works Group in 2016. She is a native of Austria, fluent in German, English and Hungarian and has lived in the US since 2012. Iris brings with her 14 years of international sales and business development experience. Her background and understanding of different cultures has proved useful in developing business opportunities such as opening a US branch of a European based company.

Courtney Gillespie
