The Dallas, NC location specializes in refurbishing previously sold products. While all manufacturing occurs in Germany, the Dallas facility plays a crucial role in maintaining product quality by regrinding (sharpening) tools after extensive use.
Position: CNC Milling – Machinist | Setup Technician
Job Description:
We are seeking a well-rounded CNC Machinist or Setup Technician to join our client’s dynamic and fast-paced team. Responsibilities:
- Setup, operate, and program CNC machines to produce high-quality parts according to customer specifications.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints.
- Calibrate machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Fabricate parts using CNC and manual equipment, including lathes, mills, grinders, tapping, milling, de-burring, and drilling.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during production.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on CNC machines to reduce breakdowns.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the production team to meet project deadlines and quality standards.
- Continuously improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Always maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Transport heavy equipment with a forklift.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working on CNC milling machines and with NC-codes (must be able to adjust CNC programs).
- Experience in precision milling and/or grinding; turning experience is a plus.
- Detail-oriented and reliable.
- Experience working with very tight tolerances is a plus.
- A forklift operator license would be beneficial.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of CNC experience with decent programming skills (able to adjust CNC programs).
- Experience in reading schematics, machine calibration, and parts fabrication.
- Proficient in equipment setup and operation of CNC and manual machines.
- Familiarity with tapping, milling, de-burring, and drilling.
- Forklift operator license.
- Graduated from the Apprenticeship 2000 program or equivalent (preferable).
