• Administration, configuration, and implementation of highly available virtualization solutions (XenServer, VMWare and/or Hyper-V)
  • 1st and 2nd level support in direct contact with the users in the event of malfunctions
  • Test execution and optimization tasks
  • Independent coordination of services from external specialists and suppliers
  • Documentation and updating of the operating instructions and manuals
  • Participation in various projects and sub-project management
  • Travel to Canada and Germany as needed; training at the German HQ will be required upon start.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors in computer science or related fields; will consider 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree
  • 5 years of experience in the service-oriented IT sector
  • Expert knowledge in the administration of complex Microsoft system environments (Windows Server up to 2012R2, Exchange, Active Directory)
  • Experience in user support and the use of help desk systems, as well as virtualization using XenServer, VMWare and/or Hyper-V desirable
  • Fluency in German is required
  • Good team-player and willingness to work in a global team
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
