Maintenance Tech – 2nd shift
Responsibilities:
- Ensures safe, efficient operation of production equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on electrical motors, conveyor systems, and production machines; ability to comprehend diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
- Troubleshoots problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Experience with maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems in an industrial setting.
- Ability to follow Programmable Logistic Controller (PLC) programming, troubleshooting issues using PLC diagnostics (i.e. Allen Bradley RS Logix 5000)
- Removes and replaces defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices & control instruments by using appropriate tools.
- Controls production equipment downtime by performing preventive maintenance.
- Fabricates repair parts by using maintenance shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Welding of mild steel and stainless is a plus.
- Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as wiring, and electronic components.
- Assists maintenance reports by collecting and summarizing information.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- HS Diploma or GED required Associates degree in related field preferred
- 3 – 5 years of experience in food manufacturing highly preferred.
- Industrial Maintenance certification a plus
- Must have strong electrical experience
- Proven ability to apply mathematical concepts and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Able to troubleshoot equipment with High and Low voltage requirements IE: 10vac-480vac / 5vdc-90vdc.
- Knowledge of mechanical machinery functionality and ability to troubleshoot and make repairs
- Commitment to learn operational standards and process
- Able to work with others in a team environment to accomplish tasks and projects.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as electrical schematics, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electronics; PLCs and Servo motors.
- Ability to apply excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to manage and complete multiple assigned tasks.
Compensation:
- Monday – Thursday 5p -3:30a must also be able to work Friday when needed
