You will work in the commercial team of Viscon Hatchery Automation. This team focuses on developing internal logistics systems in Hatcheries. You should think of a combination of automatic handling, vaccination, grading and tray handling systems, washing lines and automatic multi-layer storage systems.

What are you going to do?

As a Sales Account Manager at Viscon you combine technology and commerce in an exciting (new) position. As part of the commercial team for the new US Company and in particular the Hatchery Market, you will help Hatchery owners and builders to create Automated Factories. The eggs are received, washed, incubated and hatched on a large scale. For handling and scale reasons, automation is needed. This market is developing rapidly and has many new projects and retrofits. The production of hatched chickens (and turkeys) for Broilers, Breeders and Layers is an important food source. Demands are increasing as is the demand to do this in a way that improves the Animals Welfare Standards.

In this exciting market, you will work together with the Viscon Team: Managing Director of the US, commercial manager, and another sales engineers. Working with our design and manufacturing teams in the Netherlands and Poland, you immerse yourself in the wishes of the customer, develop a solution and help draw up the quotation. This means that you are not your average salesperson, but use your technical background and creativity to link our techniques to the wishes of the customer.

Using Autocad to make layouts of logistics systems, you are numerically strong to make capacity calculations, for example. In addition to technical issues, you and your colleagues are in contact with customers and various other companies from all over the world to share knowledge and to stay up to date with the latest developments. This makes the work very varied. To bring projects to a successful conclusion, you also keep in touch with the project office and ensure that they have the right information to carry out their work optimally.

What do we ask of you?

  • An Associates Degree / Bachelor Degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or other technical degree<span class="DefaultParagraphFont ">;
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience; strong preference for Hatchery background
  • Ability to travel domestically (50%) and Internationally (10%)
  • Ideally based within commuting distance of Charlotte, NC.
  • You have affinity with technology & sales;
  • Knowledge of AutoCad and Microsoft Office;
  • You are accurate and can work on different projects at the same time
  • A self-starter, but Team Player, keeping in regular contact with colleagues and customers in different Countries / Time Zones.
