Tooling Engineer
Responsibilities:
(Other duties may be assigned and changed as needed)
- Oversee the product development for tooling programs
- Direct development of prototypes
- Obtain process and design approval
- Maintain all tool follow-ups
- Facilitate in die buy offs
- Oversee and follow-up on production and application
- Analyze and trouble shoot assemblies and components
- Maintain tooling programs on the most economical cost basis
- Monitor employee performance
- Evaluate quality
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a relevant discipline
- At least 2 years’ experience in tool building and tool repair
- Tool & Die apprenticeship
- The ability to work independently and to collaborate with others
- Practical experience using CAD and AutoCAD software
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills
- Leadership skills
- The ability to complete projects on time and to specification
